The PGM’s then-leader, Abdalhakim Bilhajj,had left the group and run for office in the election but had lost. It became active again in March 2014, when the GNC president ordered the Tripoli Military Council’s commander to secure the capital after an attack on the GNC. The 2014 leader Sadat Badri is affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood.
